Welcome to my personal website

My name is Henrik Finsberg and I work as a Senior Research Engineer at Simula Research Laboratory in the department for Scientific Computing and Computational Physiology

In this role, my main responsibility is to develop computational tools and software that can help researchers in their daily research. This involves primarily tools with application in cardiac modeling (i.e mechanics, electrophysiology and single cell), with focus on for high performance computing and numerical computation. However, I also do a lot of other software development, including DevOps and Web development.

I am a mathematician at heart, but in the recent years, after working a lot with code development, I see that have become a more pragmatic person. I care about code quality, writing tests and documentation, and I love tools. Therefore I am also organizing a bi-weekly meetup at Simula called the Simula Tools Meetup.
